Choosing a neighborhood
Ebisu vs Shibuya vs Akasaka vs Azabu-Juban vs Nakano: which Tokyo neighborhood should you stay in?
All five SLL Urban Suites locations are within a short train ride of each other; the differences are about how much space you need, how quiet you want your nights, and which part of the city you will visit most. This page keeps to the facts from each property page.
How to choose in one minute
Family or group of 4–6 who want separate bedrooms and a full kitchen: Ebisu. Want Shibuya itself at the door: Shibuya (Dogenzaka). Business travel or convenient subway access to Ginza, Shibuya and central Tokyo: Akasaka. Couple or family with an infant, near Roppongi and Tokyo Tower: Azabu-Juban. Longer stay with easy access to Shinjuku, or a temporary return to Japan: Nakano Shinbashi.
Ebisu — whole 70 m² floors, one stop from Shibuya
A quiet residential street in Shibuya-ku, about 10 minutes on foot from JR Ebisu Station and about 13 from Hiroo Station. Three independent floors of 70 m², each with two or three private bedrooms (up to 5 or 6 guests), a full kitchen with dishwasher, a washer-dryer and a bathtub. Shibuya is one stop on the Yamanote Line; Roppongi is close on the Hibiya Line. A small home elevator (up to 200 kg) serves the floors. Best for families, groups and week-long stays.
Shibuya (Dogenzaka) — inside the city, six minutes from the station
A 30 m² one-bedroom apartment on Dogenzaka, about six minutes from Shibuya Station, sleeping up to 4, with a kitchen, a bathtub and an elevator; laundry is a shared coin laundry in the basement. The Scramble Crossing, Center Gai and Hachiko are on foot, Shinjuku is about 7 minutes by JR. Evenings on the street are lively; the room is quiet. Best for travelers who want Shibuya at the doorstep.
Akasaka — one minute from Tameike-Sanno, central Minato-ku
A 30 m² open-plan studio for up to 3, about 1 minute from Exit 10 of Tameike-Sanno Station, 5 minutes from Akasaka Station and 7 minutes from Akasaka-mitsuke. Board the Ginza Line at Tameike-Sanno for direct trains to Ginza and Shibuya. Roppongi-itchome is one Namboku Line stop; it is not Roppongi Station. Kitchenette, washer-dryer, bathtub, Nespresso and elevator. The business district is quiet at night; many restaurants close on Sundays and holidays. Best for business trips and couples.
Azabu-Juban — a residential shopping street between Roppongi and Tokyo Tower
A 32 m² one-bedroom apartment renovated in January 2025, one minute from Azabu-Juban Station (Namboku and Oedo Lines), for up to 3 plus an infant in a cot. Roppongi and Akabanebashi (Tokyo Tower) are each one stop with no transfer; Tokyo Tower is walkable in about 20 minutes. Full kitchen, washing machine, dryer, bathtub, double-glazed windows, elevator, baby cot and high chair on request; supermarkets and the shopping street are steps away. Best for couples, a family with an infant, and longer stays.
Nakano Shinbashi — seven quiet rooms, Shinjuku in about 11 minutes
One building with a total of 7 rooms, ranging from 15 to 50 square meters (accommodating 2 to 5 guests). About a 3-minute walk from Nakano-Shinbashi Station on the Marunouchi Line; approximately 11 minutes door-to-door to Shinjuku. Facilities include an elevator, a self-service luggage storage area available before check-in and after check-out, Wi-Fi, and a first-floor common lounge with work counters. Located in a residential neighborhood rather than a tourist area. Ideal for those who want to be close to Shinjuku but don’t want to stay right in the heart of it—perfect for long-term stays, solo travelers, couples, and those returning to Japan temporarily.
